AL 65

TARGET AL62 is a 100% active alkaline etchant containing chelating agents and an inhibitive grain refining agent. A stable low foaming surfactant is also incorporated to form a foam blanket to minimise spray from the gassing action. TARGET AL62 produces a uniform satin etch on aluminium alloys to give a variety of decorative finishes which can be readily controlled to a given standard by varying the temperature and/or concentration. The combination of chelating agents used prevents the conversion of sodium aluminate into insoluble aluminium oxide, commonly referred to as scale or sludge. This complexing of the dissolved aluminium, even under extreme conditions, will only produce a very fine, non-adherent precipitate which can be easily hosed away from heating coils and tank sides.

An acidic liquid cleaner, which when diluted with water, will remove oil and light grease from aluminium and its alloys whilst deoxidising and lightly etching the metal surface. Used by dip, it produces a uniform bright matt finish with no scale or sludge in the tank. is ideal for use as a pre-treatment prior to chromate coatings, and before welding.

Alzon CF is a cyanide free process specifically developed to produce, a thin, tightly adherent, zinc alloy film on aluminium.
