TARGET CL5/S58 is a powdered foaming DEGREASING SALT with exceptionally powerful wetting agent properties. It is, therefore, very efficient at removing acid greases and High Tensile drawing grease. TARGET CL5/S58 DEGREASING SALTS can remove the most obstinate grease and stove enamel etc, leaving the work clean and free from swarf, filings, dirt and other extraneous matter. TARGET CL5/S58 DEGREASING SALTS have been carefully formulated, and buffered with reagents, to maintain its very high pH value over long periods – giving a very extended bath life.
The product is used at the rate of 12 – 50g /litre (2 – 8ozs /gallon) of water and operated at temperatures of between 83°C (180°F) and the boiling point. It removes grease, scum and slight rust, dispersing insoluble soaps and taking them into the solution.
Due to the high alkalinity, it can continue to work at diluted strengths, and will still be efficient to a competitive degree.
